The catnip pillows come in two sizes. We found that Oskar tossed the small one around like it was a mouse and spent considerable time chewing on it as well. The larger pillow is similar to a Kitty Kick Stix toy because both cats would hold on to it with their jaws and front claws while kangaroo kicking it with their hind paws. The fabric seems very durable, and it is both colorful and stitched with care.
The treats were well-received and were completely eaten. They are not too firm in consistency and the ingredients are for the most part wholesome. We had little guilt giving the boys an extra snack or two, although we strongly feel that snacks should be moderated since they are not as balanced nutritionally as premium soft foods. Use these as a special reward.
Lastly, the exotic dried catnip was of top quality and very potent despite being harvested ten months ago. The cats had a very strong reaction to it and preferred it significantly over our own fresh catnip we grew. The hyper phase lasted about 20 minutes followed by a period of complete calm when the cats were too intoxicated to move even an inch. We are pretty sure we'll be ordering more of this quality catnip when the supply runs low.
Overall, Klaus and Oskar give the products from Kitty Collage two dew claws up (that's two thumbs up for us)! We feel strongly about promoting small companies that put care into the products they sell -- especially for such a reasonable price. The best companies are the ones where you can e-mail the owner and get a prompt reply back. Anyway, feel free to visit Kitty Collage on the web at the following addresses:

your babies are beautiful. we have 2 boys (father and son) and a little girl. they're a crack up. love cats. what happened to Klaus' ear? is it missing or just didn't form right? i haven't seen anything about it.
ReplyDeleteHello, and thank you for the kind words! Klaus was a stray for a period of time, and he has may scars and missing teeth from that period of his life. The ear was probably normal once, but he either encountered frostbite or had ear mites so severe that he scratched his ear until it turned into an open wound (ultimately resulting in a hematoma and the collapsed shape). He's healthy and happy now. Take care!
Deletethat poor boy (as i see how healthy and loved he is now)lol. but really, that's too bad. i do absolutely love your pics though, and the tie, it's fabulous! lol, i think my boys would freak if i tried to put a tie on them. lol. our baby, Natty, is 3 days older than Oskar, which i think is awesome. :) take care as well!
DeleteWhat great product endorsers they are. It always help 2 see the product being used b4 u buy it (not that ur cat would necessarily have the same reaction but....). Glad Oskar & klaus enjoyed themselves so much. Will look in2 the etsy site 4 this company & let them know u sent me.
ReplyDeleteOf five furkids one has zero interest in catnip, one likes fresh and/or dried, the other three like only dried nip, not sure what the difference is. I do know that some cats don't have the "catnip gene" which would account for the one, but why the three aren't interested in fresh is puzzling. Maybe some of the chemical compound isn't as developed in fresh??? Hey they are cats, they are not gong to tell me!!!!
ReplyDelete"They seem to like everything." Including the box.
