Welcome!

Welcome to the official blog that chronicles our life with Oskar the Blind Cat and his big brother, Klaus.  We want to use this page to share our experience with special needs animals, as well as to share photos, videos, and general observations about our journey through life.  My goal is to update the blog as frequently as time permits.  My wife, Bethany, will share this responsibility with me as well.  Oskar and Klaus have refused to help!  I sincerely hope that you will return to our page from time to time and share in the excitement of watching Oskar grow and mature (Klaus can only grow horizontally at this point).

Sincerely,

Mick Szydlowski

  2. Hi Mick,

I'm a fan of Oskar and Klaus all the way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My family takes care over 30 cats in our house and we are still humbled and taken away by the love and kindness that you and your wife have given to the two beautiful cats.

May God bless you and your family!

    1. Riz, it sounds like you are doing some amazing work for the cats (at least 30 of them) in Kuala Lumpur. I am impressed by how dedicated you are! We wish you all the best as well and send you many blessings!

    1. Dziękuję bardzo! I was actually born in Warsaw and moved to the U.S. when I was nine. I still have an older brother there. My wife was born in the States -- but she took the Polish last name (it's that good). Take care! : )

    2. My great grandma (on mom's side) was from Poland but I never knew her. Mom could speak some polish cuz her grandma knew no english. I had a polish-american room-mate in college, only learned 1 word that stuck (phonetical english spelling is yakshemash). 1st time I really took notice of the last name I totally butchered it (Zapoluski but it was again phonetically Chapleski). What can I say? Polish is a difficult language 2 master. I know some french & spanish & studied greek for 3yrs (way difficult, alphabet is crazy, more vowels than english, made me nuts). Do u ever speak 2 ur "kids" in polish?
